I Disagree with Agreeable Gray, but what is my goal?
/Neutrals boring you to tears? Me too! I’ve always loved color on walls and have never had a white wall in my home, ever! I currently have a blue laundry room, a red dining room and I love it! It fits me and my taste! I enjoy walking into my dining room on my way to the kitchen in the morning and it makes me happy!
I have a ton of family photos on the walls and vacation pictures and things we have bought through the years tucked into the perfect spots on shelves or the built ins by the fireplace.
I love the updates we have done! We worked hard and paid a contractor to do some of them. And oh mercy, for some, we watched LOTS of YouTube videos, made numerous trips to Home Depot and did them ourselves. The decisions, arguments, and some small blood shed all have made some great memories!
We did this knowing that some day, when it’s time to sell, when it is our goal to sell this home, we will take down all the family photos, bubble wrap and pack the travel treasures and head to the paint store for a lot of Agreeable Gray.
We will want another family to envision themselves living in this home, putting their family pictures on the wall, and deciding what YouTube video they need to watch.
It’s hard. It’s emotional. SO many memories. But what is the goal? What is your goal? To sell the home? Then, it’s time to detach slowly and purposefully. It’s time to rent the storage unit or the POD. It’s time for you to buy Agreeable Gray and move on to your next adventure.
